James Austin Galloway grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Terry Parker Senior High School in 2004. He graduated from Tallahassee Community with an Associate in Arts in 2006. While attending Florida State University, he majored in Interdisciplinary Social Science and concentrated in political science, geography, and public administration. He graduated from FSU in 2008 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Social Science.
Mr. Galloway worked for the United States Census Bureau before transitioning back to FSU to pursue a second Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, but would move on to law school before completing the Philosophy program. He enrolled at Florida Coastal School of Law in 2011 and began a three year internship at the Law Offices of Carol M. Galloway, P.A., which would later hire him as an associate attorney. While at Florida Coastal, Mr. Galloway earned the "Book Award" for International Law, studied abroad in Saigon / Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and represented his peers in the Student Bar Association.
James Austin Galloway graduated from Florida Coastal in 2013 and received his license to practice law in Florida in 2014. His Florida Bar Member Number is 0109461. Upon receiving his law license, Mr. Galloway visited the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Inc. and started accepting clients. The majority of his initial cases were immigration-related and he began advertising his services for immigration law in 2015. Mr. Galloway's mission was to assist others complete the naturalization process and become U.S. Citizens.
Mr. Galloway started the Immigration Law Division in 2015 and began accepting different kinds of family-based immigration cases. In additional to naturalization cases, he helped new clients with adjustment of status and immigrant visa cases. He advised his clients in the Philippines, Jamaica and India about Department of State procedures and requirements for entry into the United States. He also prepared non-immigrant and hybrid visa applications for clients in Haiti, Japan, and Cambodia. Mr. Galloway took asylum cases, extension of status cases, and more naturalization cases.
